On Sunday while on business travel at Myrtle Beach, I officially hit the 42 year mark in the grand scheme of things, and was hoping to magically obtain “the secret to life, the universe, and everything” (which, for all you cretinous non-Douglas Adams fans, is “42″, according to the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy).

What I discovered, unless they’re related, is that the secret to life is to simply “be happy”. Money, fame, and all that jazz is fleeting, and you can’t take it with you, so my sagely advice on my 42nd anniversary of coming into the world before it gets blown up by the Vogons to make way for a hyperspace bypass is simple.

Do whatever it takes in your life to make you happy, no matter what, because unless you believe in reincarnation, you only get one shot at it..
